Rendering Engineer

In-house. Permanent or Contract.

You will work closely with third party developers and other members of the team to co-develop Dune on next-generation platforms. You will be working on the rendering team working on a large scale survival title set in the Dune universe.

Your Mission

  • Working as part of a team of software engineers in a co-development project
  • Developing rendering techniques in conjunction with team members and third party partners
  • Implementing and continued development of rendering features and requirements
  • Optimising and maintaining existing code
  • Liaising with other team members to schedule and complete tasks to a high quality

Goes without saying, but we will require…

  • Expert in C and C++
  • Expert in Unreal Engine 4 (C, C++ and Blueprints)
  • Expert-level knowledge of optimisation tools and techniques
  • Experience working with cross-platform codebases
  • A good understanding of 3D Mathematics, as well as 2D/3D graphics and rendering techniques
  • A minimum of 3 years commercial experience developing videogames on console or PC platforms
  • Experience of leading a software engineering team
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to self-organise
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English

Bonus Points!

  • Experience porting videogames between modern videogame platforms (for example, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC)
  • Experience of scripting languages (Python, Lua)
  • Experience working with third party middleware (network, physics, audio, effects)
  • Experience working remotely with a third party development partner
