Game Designer

In-house Permanent or Contract

We’re looking to find an experienced Level Designer in Unity, who will help us take our newest project to the next level. If that sounds like you, then read on!

Your Mission

  • Creation and addition of new content for existing titles
  • Make sure the user experience of core features is excellent for players of all skill levels
  • Implement, balance and bug fix game-play features
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the level pacing flows and feels fun for the player
  • Using Unity to modify and iterate on the game through-out development
  • Working with engineers and other team members in understanding functionality necessary for implementing various interface / interaction solutions

Goes without saying, but we will require…

  • Several years’ experience as a designer within the games industry
  • At least one completed game in your portfolio from start to finish using Unity
  • Experience creating content and levels with Unity
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of platform limitations
  • Experience working with version control software such as SVN, Perforce or Git
  • Experience working with task / bug tracking software such as JIRA, Bugzilla, Redmine or Hansoft
  • Visual creativity and a passion for generating new ideas
  • Work well within a team and take on board feedback and critique from others
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with the porting or co-development process
  • Experience working on console titles
  • Have multiple different genres or styles in a portfolio
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team

We are based in South-East London’s Surrey Quays.

Located along the Thames, our office is a ten minute walk from both Surrey Quays and Canada Water stations which are on the Jubilee line and London Overground lines respectively.

We are well served by multiple bus routes including the 1, 47, 188, 225 and 381. You can also reach us by the Thames Clipper service; we are right by the Greenland stop.
